South Sudan UN headquarters attack kills 58 people , UN Security Council Furious

Security Council of the United Nations furious over the attack on the UN headquarters Bor Town , Jonglei State , South Sudan local time last Thursday . The UN Security Council also demanded the Government of Southern Sudan to prevent further attacks on the headquarters and civilians in civil war -torn country after dozens of people were killed .

The world body says at least 58 people were killed and more than 100 others wounded in an attack on one of its base in South Sudan that holds thousands of civilians .

" The members of the Security Council condemned and stressed that attacks on civilians and UN peacekeepers is a war crime , " according to a statement adopted unanimously by all members of the UN Security Council as quoted by AFP on Saturday ( 04/19/2014 ) .

The UN Security Council also called on the Government of Southern Sudan to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of all civilians and civilian shelters UNMISS in South Sudan .
